World Financial Group Reviews – The Company

World Financial Group Review

World Financial Group (WFG) is a multi-billion dollar financial services that has a hybrid business model.

They deal with a ton of financial institutes and products including:

  • Life insurance
  • Variable Universal Life Insurance
  • Mutal Funds
  • Annutities
  • And Mortgages

They are based in Johns Creek, Georgia which is a suburb of Atlanta.

Right now, they are operating in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

The company first started as World Marketing Alliance (WMA) back in 1991 and was founded by Huber Humphrey…

This was after he left another MLM company called Primerica.

The company attended it’s first event in Las Vegas in 1992 where over 2000 associates showed up.

In 1998, WMA opened their 100,000 square foot building that has over 500 employees.

In 1998 (November to be exact), they were fined $100,000 for not properly supervising their sales agents after some clients lost $2 million in unregistered investments.

In 2000, they were fined another $125,000 for not reporting the 900 customer complaints they had…

In 2001, WMA was purchased by AEGON and renamed the company World Financial Group.

After 2013 is when everything started to turn around.

They had over 3,500 offices in the United States alone…

World Financial Group Insurance Agency of Canada moved to Toronto, Ontario.

And Canada had about 1500 agents…

So they didn’t get to the right start, but they seem to be doing okay now…

That’s why you probably see a lot of World Financial Group Reviews that say it’s a full out scam…

Anyway, next let’s take quick look at the products…

World Financial Group Review – The Products

World Financial Group has a ton of products that range from:

  • Life Insurance
  • Annuities
  • Critical Illness Insurance
  • Disability Insurance
  • Long-Term Care
  • Mutual Funds
  • Segregated Funds (Canada)
  • Group Insurance (Canada)
  • Business Solutions
  • College/Post-Secondary Education Funding
  • Investment Advisory Services
  • Financial Needs Analysis

You pretty much have to become a broker to sell these products…

Cost To Join World Financial Group

The administration fee is $100.

In order to sell all of the products and serviced provided by WFG, you must become fully licensed which cam cost you anywhere between $500-$1000 for exam materials, exam fee’s, registration fee’s and other educational costs.

If this is the field you want to be in, I am sure it’s worth it.

There is also a $30 Life Licensed, $100 registered rep, $125 investment adviser.

Their life insurance policy is about $200 per month…

A little pricey if you ask me…

World Financial Group Compensation Plan

When you recruit people in the business, you earn points/commissions on those referrals.

There isn’t a ton of information on their compensation plan, but I did find a video done by a World Financial Group Rep…

So just remember it will be biased…

Check it out here:

You can also read their official PDF here on their compensation plan.

World Financial Group Reviews – The Verdict

Overall, WFG Scam doesn’t really exist…

It’s just some of the WFG Associates use unethical ways to recruit people in this business…

I am sure it’s not the World Financial Group’s fault…

I have heard of someone making fake job interviews for this business…

People thinking they are going to a job interview, but in the end they get sold a business opportunity…

You really don’t want people who are looking for a job in your business anyway…

This never works.

Well, maybe the rare 3% will make it, but 97% of the people will fail…

You just need the right skill sets to recruit the right people…

You have to recruit people that are looking for BUSINESS opportunities not a job.

Then when these guys that get recruited who were looking for a job make no money…

They call it a scam…

You see how that works?
