Usana Review – Legit Opportunity in 2018 or Scam? Find Out Here…

Welcome to my Usana Review!

You stumbled across this blog post because you want to make an informative decision and want to do the research.

There are a lot of Usana Scam reviews on the internet, but how many of them are actually true?

In this blog post, you are going to find out the truth and I will not hold anything back.

So fasten your seat belts and let’s dig in!

Before I get started, I want to let you know that this is my #1 business opportunity recommendation after reviewing hundreds click here.

Usana Review – The Company

Usana review

Website:  www.usana.com

Usana is the brain child of Dr. Myron Wentz who had a vision of a disease free world.  He believes all of the healthy problems are due to the lack of nutrition.  Dr Wentz served as infectious diseases specialist and directed the microbiology and immunology laboratories for three hospitals in the Peoria area.

In 1974, he launched Gull Laboratories and in 1977, many of his viral diagnostic assays where finally FDA approved.  In 1992, Dr Wentz sold Gull Laboratories and the birth of Usana Health Science as we know it came about that same year. (1)

Now, my opinion about this man is this…

He is a great man and I respect that his heart is in the right place.  Now let’s continue on to the products of Usana.  So far I don’t think the Usana scam exists, but let’s keep going.

Usana Product Review

Usana Products

Like all the good mlm companies out there, the product is very important.  It has to stand out from the crowd and has to do exactly what it is designed to do.  Usana actually makes one of the highest quality health supplements on the planet thanks to Dr.Wentz.

I am not going to say anything negative about their products, but there is problem…I will get into that later in this blog post.

Usana has so many products and it will be foolish of me to list them all here.  It will bore you to death LOL!

So instead I will tell you they specialize in…

Nutritionals:  This includes vitamins, minerals and anti-oxdants all in many different forms.

Diet & Energy: This includes all the protein shakes, meal replacements and energy drinks.

Personal Care:  This includes all the skin care products, shampoo’s and other beauty stuff.

Now the biggest problem with their products is….PRICE.

They are extremely expensive so the target market for these will be very limited.  This explains why most of the distributors dump all the products on eBay and Amazon less than wholesale.

They just don’t have the buyers for them.  But then again, maybe these distributors don’t have the right skill sets…I will get into why this is very important later in the blog post.

Other network marketing companies you may want to check out are Paycation, Sabika and Shaklee.

Usana Business Opportunity

Like most network marketing companies, the product is not where the money is “at”.  The truth of the matter is the majority of the money is made by recruiting people into your business.

So let’s look at the Usana Compensation plan:

NOTE:  I got this directly from Usana which is the best source for this.

As you can see, it’s a powerful compensation plan…BUT…that doesn’t really matter because I am going to reveal to you the biggest truth in Network Marketing and why 99% of the people fail.

Usana Scam – So does that even exist?

This is the moment you have been waiting for and I am here to tell you that the “Usana Scam” doesn’t exist.  The reason why you see negative reviews on the internet is because many join, but only a few succeed.

Because of it’s powerful products, I rate this company the following:

To do great in any network marketing company, you need the right skill set to sell your products, generate prospects daily and close them to either become a customer or a distributor in your business.

The reason why 99% of the people fail is they just don’t have these skills.

They jump in thinking they will become millionaires over night with a lottery mindset, but where in actual reality you need to build yourself daily to become successful at anything.

So what is the solution?

Number 1:  Invest in yourself and get the right education and skills to do well.

Number 2:  Learn how to leverage the internet to make you sales online

I would go with the number 2 option and there a business model out there that teaches you step by step on how to do that…

I don’t find the products expensive, but a bargain, because they work.

I joined as an associate, tested the whole range on various clients in my private practice, including a liver cancer gentlemen, sent home to die by his doctors, it took just two weeks to get him reasonably normal.

The reason 99% fail, is because 99% quit. It’s a business, that requires business skills and patience.

Thank you

You said it yourself that to be successful in MLM, one must have the right skills and I must include mindset. Usana doesn’t promise overnight success just like any endeavor you undertake that is new to you. That’s why we go to school for 10-12 years to develop ourselves as individuals and prepare for college. I’m actually learning a lot especially on the right supplementation and I must say and you seconded that the products are effective. Right now I’m undergoing skills training that help me share my experience with the product and how others may benefit.

    Hey Lolita,

    I agree with you 100%.

You need the right skill sets to be successful in network marketing.

Sad truth is 99% of the people are just lazy and don’t want to learn.

    Kimberly,

Actually I wasn’t negative toward Usana as a company and product wise.

I just said they it’s a tough gig to recruit people into.

If USANA were to halt distributor recruitment for 1 year, would the company exist at the end of that year? Would those upper 1% of distributors who are Gold Directors or higher still be collecting their residual income ever after their downlines have vanished? Would retail sales and preferred customers alone keep the company afloat?

No, No, and No.

Unless the business has some sort of money left over, any business would fall after one year of being inactive.

Thing is, major stock analysts have listed health and wellness as “a trillion-dollar” market. The market won’t die in the forseeable future.

    Reply
      ruby red - July 22, 2015

has nothing to do with the Health and Wellness industry. It has to do with MultiLevel Marketing. There are thousands of health and wellness companies. Anyone can run a pill mill. You can even do it from your garage. Just press the raw ingredients into a pill. Wahla…

Point I was making is that USANA relies solely on selling the business opportunity rather than selling product. If it were about selling product, then 80% of distributors wouldn’t drop out every year. Fact remains, demand for USANA products is nonexistance at the current price for USANA products. Every Preferred customer who quit I asked claims the prices are too expensive. They are correct. 45% of the price you pay for the product is used to pay commissions, which only benefit the top 1% of distributors because the remaining 99% do not make a profit.

      Reply
        Tom - July 30, 2015

The thing is: these are not only “pills” that you make in your garage, Usana is the only company who sells 100% natural health products that REALLY helps you to stay healthy.

Also, Dr. Wentz said and will always say that the main goal of that network marketing system is to make health accessible to every human because every single one of us deserves it.

        Reply
          Alice Young - November 6, 2015

The “pills” that USANA sells have been reviewed by major media outlets and found to be no better than name brands, but cost two to five times more. The difference in price goes toward supporting the MLM part of the business.

If this statement is truethen surely the products would be cheaper and easily accessible to all in normal retail outlets

Mlm is a more profitable way of marketing products with higher mark up. Advertisement cost and other related indirect cost are eliminated thus allowing mlm companies. to offer better and higher commission structure . The main source of revenue of mlm companies is the “continuous ” recruitment of associates which is the bloodline . They need recruits who have excellent presentation skills to pursue continuity of the chain so the emphasis at the culmination of presentation is not on the product details, it is focused on the business aspect where the recruit could possibly earn substantial sums weekly.

I am not particularly talking about USANA. But for me any company, a very high percentage of the income, depends on recruiting more and more new associates, will fall into the category of “Pyramid Scheme”. See; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_scheme

May the Goodness Bless you.

Look at the Dr. that started testing his skills in the 70’s that we’re discussing here… The giant BOOM in the 80’s for vitality, nutrition, & supplementation is where he put his money then! Do your research! Nutrition is a Trillion Dollar Biz! Always will be! Now, you see the stock increased. This Dr. is also co-partnered with Dr. Oz. He is a Billionaire. The uplines and downlines are only for increasing marketing. More money is generated in this division of sales. So with that said, if they “all stopped” tonight, Usana would still be a Donald Trump in GDP Wealth. Its not going anywhere.

Susana is a joke you can go to a health store and get the same thing for less

Reply
Geoff Reese - November 21, 2015

You can go to a health store and buy similar products as USANA. True. So who does the product benefit? The sales associate who sold you the product. Then roll that up to the general manager of the store who needs to drive products. Roll that up to the Regional manager responsible for the area stores. Roll that up to the Corp. manager of the regional stores. Roll that up to the VP of the company. Roll that up to the Pres. of the company who needs to drive sales because of the shareholders and he gets a fat bonus of all the downline effort of all stores. I’m not even related to USANA. But that’s how corp. America works.

So, buy your goods at the local health store and send the profit to the top ultimately. Or, buy your product from a network marketing company and benefit personally.

Have you ever gone to any fast food place and ever been asked if you want to have the combo meal? Ha, it’s pushing sales to benefit the store that ultimately benefits the top. That’s marketing at it’s best without you benefiting at all.

Based on my research, there are companies with more expensive products than USANA. And there are companies making products in the same market for pennies a day.
Some companies offer guarantees. Most others do not of those guarantees.
Difference between buying a Kia or buying a BMW. Some people find the best value for their dollar in a Kia, some in their BMW. Some people buy in for the brand, some buy in for the quality of manufacturing.

Like many things in this world, “we get what we pay for.”

I got so scammed by USANA!!!
I was spending so much money on product and was told just keep on trying to get customers. I did get customer’s but because USANA is a binary comp plan and I kept losing customers on the one side I LOST several thousand dollars.
The BINARY COMP PLAN with USANA has people LOSING!!!
The products are good..but there are some other good ones out there too.
Don’t be duped.

      Hi Jesse,

I’m interested in hearing about the eBay and Amazon information, can you add me to your mailing list to review information. I recently became a associate with USANA. I’m very new. I’m not sure this is for me. I believe in the product and health and nutrition, but I don’t know if I can recruit or sell enough of the product to make money due to the cost. Even the cost for me to profit as an associate is to maintain an auto-order they say of 100 points which is the only way I keep my sells volume to make my CPV. That means I’m spending more than $120 /month on product for myself. I wouldn’t normally spend that much money on supplements /month. I know you have to invest to make money, but I’m not sure I can do this. In my circle of friends and family I can’t see many wanting to commit to spending and average of $80 /month on supplements.

I have been using supplements for which I buy online that have the exact same constituents as USANA and yet are a third the price. Why should you have to go through a middle man, when you can buy direct. Plus it’s not a great promotion when USANA associates get recurrently sick, whereas I rarely get sick. USANA isn’t the only one though. They all claim to have the “best”.

Usana provides no training for new associates, relying on a cult-like “team” enthusiasm, learning from people who have no business experience, only bragging about those who are achieving, dismissing those who aren’t achieving as “lazy” … Add to that, the distribution channel is flawed … archaic inventory tracking can cause back-orders that are not traceable … and it is a “pay on order” system, not pay on fulfillment … I have tried for over a month to get refunds on unfulfilled orders … Good luck with that … the staff on the front line, who manage the poor, complaining distributors, have no visible support from their managers … try to get one on the phone … Again, Good luck with that … PASS PASS PASS on Usana … good products, poor resource management ….

Hi Jessie, I love this blog really!!!
Am also a USANA associates and I tell my struggles when I started the business, my Upline told me that USANA is not an easy thing, so if I will choose to join just just some secret, and I ask what is that,

1. Learn the company
2. Learn the System
3. Change your mindset
4. Attend the Training
5. Learn the product
6. The purpose why you want to join the company; lastly
7. Believe in youself

Am an agriculture by profession and far from selling supplements and dont have any idea on networking because its my first time. However, I try to follow all the requirements need to be successful in USANA or on how to earn money from it.

1st month no income
2nd month I was started to earn money until now,, am 7 months in Usana and I already enjoying earning about MLM especially I have lots of people who first said that USANA is an expensive products but now they are my friends and Team in USANA.

Here in the Philippines, the price of USANA is cheaper that spending money on the Hospital. Your 1 year supplementation cost for USANA product is equal to 3 days of Hospitalization.

So many are now trusting the product because of the reason that is very effective and the price is reasonable.

Hope it will help other associates of USANA that learning is really the key of all opportunities.

I really agree of Jessie that 99% of the people quit not becuase the company are not good but beacuse of the people people who are not teachable and not will to learn new things.

P.S. Always believe in yourself thier is no overnight success

Hi,

Recently, a friend of mine recently introduced me to USANA. I was actually focused on the medical side rather than on the business.

I was planning to be just a consumer because I have no plans on setting up for MLM. But I do plan to become a member to get discounts whenever my experience from USANA products are well received by me or friends and family.

The problem is, I wanted to gauge how really are effective are their products are and how reasonable the prices. So yeah, just testing some waters here and I would like to hear your opinion if these supplements are all worth it.

Thank you!

Hi Jesse,
I am new in Usana, just a week old. I feel like starting to quit. Their strategy to get recruits is seemed like deceiving. In fact, to my observation an associate may earn or generate income if you have downlines. I feel somewhat guilt doing this strategy in order to get recruits but actually i dont see them as recruits but as investors to your network. So its more like a deceiving way to earn money. Thanks!
