Tryp Review – Company

Tryp review

Tryp for some reason has no information on who runs or owns the website, but I do know that the domain “” was registered on July 12th, 2018.

Domain is owned by Robert McNulty and a virtual address is given in Nevada.

After doing some more research, marketing material and affiliates mention that Robert Mcnulty is the CEO of the company.

Not sure this information isn’t available on the website itself…

In the past, he has experience in ecommerce and was the founder, president and CEO of

There was some issues with that company because the SEC came after them.(1)

McNulty resigned, but he was hired back two weeks later as a consultant.

In 1999, was sold off to Compaq.

Now, I know Wikipedia isn’t the best source, but if you look at the “” page there it says that Dr. Nahum Sharfman and Amir Ashkenazi founded it in 1998. (2)

Not sure why Robert isn’t on it…

Looks like he had issues with the SEC even before “” because five years prior they went after him for the following:

In a complaint filed by the Commission on September 30, 1994, McNulty was charged with orchestrating a complex scheme to defraud investors by using the proceeds of securities
offerings by HQOS, HQOI, Auto Giant and Auto Depot to finance the operations of affiliated companies and the companies’ underwriter and market maker, Global America, Inc., rather than for the stated purpose of funding the issuers’ operations.

Good news is in October 1995, there was a settlement for the charges. (3)

Now lets fast forward in 2009, he launched Kaching Kaching which was an ecommerce based network marketing company.

It only went on for a few years before it closed up shop.

On Roberts personal blog titled “What I’m doing now”:

My latest dedicated journey is a new company I’ve created (ibuy, inc [sic] / ibuyrite) that will enable independent small brick and mortar retail businesses to not only compete, but to thrive in this brave new world of eCommerce online retail.

However, when you look at the traffic going to ibuyrite, it’s pretty much dead.

Early 2018 Robert McNulty co-founded SupplyBloc, where he held a CEO position.

SuppyBloc’s website says:

was founded with the mission of solving the greatest problems that businesses face in global commerce and e-commerce, namely those involved with supply-chain management.

Our solution rests on a foundation of deeply complex blockchain technology.

SupplyBloc wanted to sell it’s SUPX ICO for $1 per coin.

But in May 2018, it was paused because there was a potential it was causing securities fraud. (4)

January 2019, SUPX isn’t still out yet…

What is Tryp?

Tryp is basically an uber style app where you as a customer and request a ride.

On the flip side, as a driver, you don’t have to pay fee’s out of your fare when you do get customers.

Cool concept for a mlm…

Anyway, sorry for the long history lesson, but let’s get into the products next inside of this Tryp review…

Tryp Reviews – Products

Tryp products

Tryp has no retail products or services, but you as an affiliate can promote the affiliate membership.

However, it’s not like anything else I have seen…

Now they do mention a ridesharing app on the Tryp that you can download from the app store or Google play.

Looking at the website, it looks like Tryp ride is competing with Uber…

The difference is you keep all of the money and don’t give a cut to the main company for a fee.

Actually this is a very interesting concept so far…

Anyway, that’s all I got for the products, let’s take a look at the compensation plan next inside of this Tryp review…

Tryp Compensation Plan

Tryp compensation plan combines both ridesharing fee’s and sponsoring new affiliates.

RideShare Commissions

Ridesharing at the time of this blog post doesn’t exist yet, but it’s included in the compensation plan break down.

These are not MLM based commissions because the person who sold the app gets direct commissions from their member.

Not much information on the commission rate, but I do know that you can earn on average 40 cent commission per ride taken through the app.

Sponsoring Commissions

Tryp Affiliates get started and pay a monthly fee.

Commissions are paid on those monthly fee’s when they sponsor new members.

For each affiliate sponsored, you can get $50 commission.

Residual Commissions

Trip pays residual commission based on direct and indirect sponsoring activity.

  • Rising – Sponsor and maintain three fee-paying affiliates = $50 a week
  • Pro – Pay an additional $149.99 annual fee and have a total downline of twelve monthly fee-paying affiliates = $150 a week commission
  • 1K – Have a total downline of at least twenty-four monthly fee-paying affiliates = $250 a week
  • 2K – Have a total downline of at least sixty monthly fee-paying affiliates = $500 a week
  • 5K – Have a total downline of at least one hundred and eighty monthly fee-paying affiliates = $1250 a week
  • 10K – Have a total downline of at least four hundred monthly fee-paying affiliates = $2500 a week
  • 25K – Have a total downline of at least one thousand monthly fee-paying affiliates = $6250 a week
  • 50K – Have a total downline of at least two thousand monthly fee-paying affiliates = $12,500 a week
  • 100K – Have a total downline of at least four thousand monthly fee-paying affiliates = $25,000 a week
  • 250K – Have a total downline of at least twelve thousand monthly fee-paying affiliates = $62,500 a week
  • 500K – Have a total downline of at least twenty-four thousand monthly fee-paying affiliates = $125,000 a week

Everything is paid through a unilevel compensation structure and no more than 40% of the residuals can come from one unilevel leg.

Cost To Join Tryp

Tryp members will run you $250 plus $199 per month.

If you want to get paid commissions beyond the Pro Rank, you have to pay $149 per year as an influencer fee.

Now the moment you have been waiting for inside of this Tryp review…

Final Verdict On Tryp

Overall, the company is a very interesting concept…

However, there are some red flags that need to be addressed first…

Tryp rideshare app is a great idea, but at the time of writing this blog post it doesn’t exist.

Another thing I noticed is on their website, they don’t mention anything on the network marketing side.

They play it off like a regular Uber App alternative which it isn’t.

When you work for Uber, the drivers don’t pay any fee’s, but you get a fee taken from your fair.

Tryp drivers have to pay $250 one-time and $199 per month.

100% of the commissions paid are to sponsoring new drivers.

There isn’t any incentives to get customers on board with the app…

To be fair the company is new and probably will change things in the future…

As of right now I would wait it out a little bit.

The concept is great 100%.

If I was an uber driver and didn’t have to pay fee’s with every fair and just pay a monthly fee, I think that would be better specially if you hustle :).

Anyway as of right now there are some red flags that need to be addressed and once they do, I will let you all know.

As of right now, wait 3-6 months and see where this goes.
