Scentsy Reviews – Good Products and Opportunity or Scam in 2018?

You are on this blog post because someone has approached you about some scented candles or maybe you were in a home party and you just want to do your diligence before you get started.  The bottom line is you want to find out if you can actually do this business and tired of all the biased Scentsy reviews out there.

You came to the right place because in this third party unbiased review, I am going to go through the company, the products and the compensation plan so you can make the right decision.

Let’s jump into the company shall we?

Scentsy Reviews – The Company

Scentsy Reviews

Website:  http://scentsy.com

The company officially launched in 2004 by Orville and Heidi Thompson with it’s main headquarter is in Meridian, ID, USA while it’s distribution sites are in Meridian, ID, USA, Lexington, KY, USA, Coppell, TX, USA and Warsaw, Poland.

The actual wax is manufactured in Meridian, ID, USA and the products can be sold in the USA, Puerto Rico, Guam, Canada, Germany, Ireland, and the UK.

Scentsy Fragrance has over 1000 employees and over 200,000 independent consultants or distributors world wide.

Now let’s take a look at their actual products inside of this Scentsy review…

Scentsy Review – The Products

Scentsy Products

The main Scentsy product is Warmers and wax.  What you do is plug in a warmer with wax cubes inside.  Once the warmer starts melting the wax, it’s start filling the room with a fragrance.

There are over 80 different wax cubes to choose from and they are specially formulated cubes that work with the low watt light bulb or heating element.

Another Scentsy product is called “Room Sprays” and you guessed it… it’s a spray with a fragrance and there are 92 different sprays to choose from.

Other products they carry are Fresheners, buddy, Laundry and Soap and Sanitizers.

I had a Scentsy rep that let me try out the Warmer and wax.  My opinions of it?

It actually works great and smells very nice…

So overall, the products are great.

Now, let’s take a look at their business opportunity…

I know unlike many Scentsy reviews, mine is unbiased so for me to say that product is good means they are doing something right.

Other companies you should check out is Rodan and Fields and Younique.

Scentsy Compensation Plan

Like all MLM companies, if you decide to share this opportunity, you get paid a commission on product sales.

Instead of my blabbing on about the Scentsy Compensation plan, why not check out their video.  Now this is done by a distributor so it will probably ask you to join…

…I do not endorse this video but only showing it to you to better understand their comp plan.

Now overall it’s a good comp plan, but it doesn’t pay as much as some out there…

Scentsy Reviews – Is this a Scam?

Overall, the company is established… The products are great and the comp plan is decent so NO it’s not a scam.

BUT…

If you think you jumping into this company because you failed your last one will help with success – you are dead wrong.

If you haven’t invested in yourself to help you to actually sponsor people and have the right skill sets to become a network marketing professional…Then you will continue to fail regardless.

That is the truth take it or leave it.

However because Scentsy is a legit company and has been in the marketplace for sometime, I rate it the following:

So what are your options?

Well, you can get the skill sets like I said so you will be a better recruiter and better people person or…

…look for a business model that doesn’t require recruiting.

My personal recommendation…

I have been in the network marketing field for a few years and have made well over 7 figure in this industry so I know what to look for when you join a company…

Anyway, after reviewing hundreds of companies and systems out there…

It’s the only training out there where you will learn step by step on how to build an affiliate marketing business online with the right training’s, tools and the right mentorship…

ALSO, you can grow any existing business you are in…

Even if you are in Scentsy, this can help you grow your business…

This seems like a very honest review. I am a new Scentsy Independent Consultant and am hoping to do well with it, but I feel like I can do so by just selling the products. Do you feel like the only way to have success with Scentsy is through signing people up under you?

Thanks

    Megan,

To be truthful yes, the most money is made by recruiting people into the business.

Hey, great review!

You are right in the end where you said you have to recruit in Scentsy to make money.

What business do you do that doesn’t require recruiting?

Can you send me more information on that?

Thank you!

My wife does Scentsy, and I assumed it was just another MLM when she wanted to start. So take this info from someone that was (and still is) very skeptical.

The commission on each sale is pretty decent, I think she’s at 20% now. Also, you have to have $150 in sales each quarter to maintain your spot, but there are no additional fees. You do not have to pre-buy and resell product, customers can order drop ships from your personal web store.

They have tried to expand to new markets over the time of her tenure (trying to get her to sell Fondue pots and other such party supplies), so it at least seems to me that the primary focus is on the products not the MLM.

Don’t expect a lot of money – I read that the top salesperson only makes about $1200 a month. It’s a fairly niche product.

Overall she has made money, but not a lot.

Hi, I am a consultant for Scentsy in the Uk and started about 6 months ago. Since I started I have had a fairly decent commission every month and as my customer base rises it is getting higher. This is not a get rich quick scheme, but it is one that will help you put away money for your rainy days or retirement or extra luxuries, that without this extra income, you just couldn’t afford. I haven’t worked too hard ( at my age I don’t want to lol ) but I try to do at least 2 parties a month and I am now getting a lot of residual sales as well as new customers being referred by old ones. You don’t have to recruit, but when people see how easy it is they WANT to join and I now have 6 consultants whom I personally sponsor. I would advise anyone and everyone to find a product they believe in and do this! The benefits for yourself, emotionally are amazing.

I have been a consultant and love the products…BUT there’s not a lot to be made unless you have a big team, which obviously I didn’t. If you do decide to join, be careful who you sign up with….our so-called ‘Superstar directors’ are a pair of twats…they don’t want to hear of any problems, love to have all the ‘yes’ people around them and they will get rid of any questions which they don’t like. If you are a person that speaks your mind, don’t go there, do your research well…pity Scentsy don’t train these people and have them act professionally….
