SaladMaster Review – Legit Business Opportunity or Big Scam?

Welcome to my Saladmaster Review!

There has been some buzz about this company so I decided to investigate what this company was all about…

Some say it’s legit while other Saladmaster reviews shout out scam!

Personally, I don’t like prejudging anything specially because there are a lot of bloggers out there with their own agenda…

Chances are someone probably approached you in person or on social media about the business opportunity and now you want to make sure it’s actually legit right?

The good news is I am going to walk you through the company, products and compensation plan so you can make the right decision…

Let’s dig in shall we?

SaladMaster Review – The Company

SaladMaster Review

SaladMaster is one of the oldest businesses I have ever reviews so far which actually dates back to 1946 when it was first founded by Harry Lemmons.

In it’s first year, the companies sales force grew from just three people to over 100 which was pretty big back in the day.

In 1979, Regal Ware Inc. purchased Saladmaster and continues to run this company to this day.

Keith Peterson is the President of Saladmaster and only found that information because of LinkedIn, the website itself didn’t have this data for some reason which is kind of strange for a company being this old…

Anyway, let’s keep digging in this SaladMaster review….

SaladMaster Reviews – The Products

Back in the day, SaladMaster originally launched with a “unique product” that saved time when it came to slicking fruits and vegetables for salads.

Today SaladMaster has a ton of products all made in the USA…

When it came to Google search, the most popular keyword was “SaladMaster Cookware” compared to everything else.

All products are made from American and Swiss stainless steel…

They do have a lot of products, so I am going to list some of them below…

  • Food processors
  • Saucepans
  • Skillets
  • Roasters
  • Electric skillets and roasters
  • Woks
  • Griddles
  • Bowls
  • Cutlery and kitchen tools
  • Bakeware
  • Racks and insets
  • Tea kettles and
  • Cookware care

Note that all SaladMaster cookware is backed by a limited lifetime warranty which is a good thing…

Also note that there are no retail prices available of any of their products on their website for some reason, but I did here that some of these SaladMaster cookware sets can cost up to $2000 USD.

Just take a look on eBay for their products and you will see what I mean:

SaladMaster Cookware Set

This company kind of reminds of of Pampered Chef in a way…

SaladMaster Compensation Plan

Like all good network marketing companies, they pay you commissions when you make product sales or sponsor other business partners in this system that buy products for resale.

For some reason, there is no compensation plan information on their website which is odd for a company this old…

I did manage to dig some information so not to worry…

SaladMaster Ranks

There are 7 ranks in total in the SaladMaster Compensation plan that you can achieve.

This is what it looks like with their qualification information:

  • Associate – Sign up as an affiliate
  • Consultant – Sell ten SaladMaster cookware sets within two consecutive months and recruit at least one affiliate who hosts a dinner
  • Senior Consultant – Sell at least thirty SaladMaster cookware sets and have recruited at least two affiliates
  • Group Manager – Sell at least forty SaladMaster cookware sets and recruit at least three affiliates
  • Distributor – Sell at least seventy SaladMaster cookware sets within six consecutive months (includes downline sales) and ‘meet requirements and accept management responsibilities
  • Direct Dealer – Sell at least one hundred and fifty SaladMaster cookware sets within nine consecutive months (includes downline sales) and ‘be prepared to run an
organization outside of your dealer’s office
  • Senior Dealer – Sell 5000 GV worth of SaladMaster cookware sets in twelve consecutive months or 8000 GV in twenty-four consecutive months, ‘both with equivalent supporting purchases

There is one very powerful bonus you can get as an Associate if you manage to host 6 dinners in 10 days that is…

If you managed to pull that off you get promoted to Consultant and qualify for the Fast Track Program Bonus.

Commission Qualification For Team Building

This is pretty much commissions earned when you sponsor people in the business…

Now to qualify for this you must:

  1. Sponsor at least one affiliate
  2. Sell one set of SaladMaster cookware
  3. Cook a minimum of 4 dinners

Retail Commissions

When you sell their retail products to customers, you can earn commissions on that.

The amount of commissions depends on your rank below:

  • Consultants earn a 10% retail commission
  • Senior Consultants earn a 15% retail commission
  • Group Managers and higher earn a 20% retail commission

Residual Income Commissions

When you personally sponsor new people into your business, you can earn residual commissions on the SaladMaster cookware sets they sell:

  • Consultants and Senior Consultants earn a 2% residual commission payout
  • Group Managers earn 3% residual commissions

Fast Track Program Bonus

This is what I mentioned earlier in the affiliate rank section…

If you qualify for this, you can earn 5% bonus on your personal cookware sales on you personally sponsored members.

Cost To Join SaladMaster

For some odd reason, SaladMaster provides NO information on what the cost to join this company is and the cost of the products…

They just tell you how the “initial investment to join SaladMaster is minimal” compared to other business models like franchising…

Again, that doesn’t really help on the price points lol.

Verdict On SaladMaster

Overall Saladmaster isn’t a scam or anything…

If it was a scam, it wouldn’t be here for over 70 years!

I did notice there was a ton of their products on eBay selling which range from new to used products.

Check that out below:

SaladMaster Products On eBay

When you see MLM products on eBay, it gets tougher to sell them at full pop retail…

I noticed this with another company called Organo Gold which sells their coffee at $34 Retail, but then you see it on eBay for $17 to $20…

The best thing you can do is compare the quality and prices with other cookware in this category and see how competitive it is…

Other than that, the company is legit and if you are interested you can check them out…

I bought a saladmaster set 18 years ago after hosting a party At the time I couldn’t afford a new set so the presenter offered a used set at a reduced rate. For the most part I have been happy with saladmaster except my electric skillet It works well but takes a bit to heat up and haven’t always been impressed with it. Searching online recently to buy saladmaster for my adult children I have discovered the man who sold me the set switched out the skillet for what I think is a west bend product. It still has the liquid core but exact design as west bend and doesn’t have the saladmaster logo all my other pieces do. I feel duped Emailed regional manager but after all this time (and I do not have receipt) I was told I’m out of luck

I’m selling my brand new electric skillet for only $500.00….made in USA, this is new edition.
….I bought saladmaster set in 1990 ..been using all of them to this time and never have any problem….easy to clean, still looks brand new , no cratches…..it’s how you take care of it…food will not stick if you put it on high fire the first few minutes then low down the fire to cook by itself….I love using my saladmaster because it’s easy to cook on it, make the meat soft in short time…..why expensive? B’cause it’s layers of upgraded stainless steel….easy to cook, nutritious, and healthy, because you’re using stainless still not aluminum ,.that’s why it’s expensive….only the smart people and those can afford , can and will buy this kind of casseroles or cook ware….IT LASTS FOREVER AND WITH WARRANTY LIFETIME….YOU CAN HAND IT DOWN TO YOUR KIDS…..

I just had a salad master demonstration at my home last night. I didn’t want a whole set but said that I would be interested in a single 3 quart saucepan. When the salesman said it would be $988 plus shipping I almost fell off my chair. I don’t care how good it is, it’s not happening.

The price for a whole set is $10,000. The only way to get the food processor is to refer 4 friends and they have to have demonstrations. They say the processor is worth over $500 but you can find used ones on eBay for around $69. I’m sure these pans are high quality but I can’t justify the cost.
